Tasting Reviews
We are always tasting wines as part of our vetting process to determine which to include in our diverse selection. In addition to Napa Valley and other local wines, we also enjoy the flavors of many other regions throughout the world. A study of the ‘other’ main characters of Piemonte, not everything is Nebbiolo and Barolo.
Bruno Rocca Dolcetto d’Alba: Rich, round and juicy with dark fruit, blackberry and a touch of cinnamon and tobacco. A perfect pairing for Bolognese pasta or braised short ribs.
Braida Limonte Grignolino d’Asti: With plenty of sour cherry, an aromatic potpourri and spice, rich tannin and a long finish. Perfect with grilled rib eye or pizza Margherita.
Cornarea Arneis: Showing layers of peach, Amalfi lemon zest and a creamy texture. Ideal for summer like prosciutto and melon or seafood pasta.
La Colombera Derthona Timorasso: Crisp, apricot and citrus peel with a welcoming herbal component, white pepper and vibrant acidity. Try it with grilled salmon or creamy cheese.
